Made an early start and soon picked up a breeze in Steno Kos for a fast close reach past the east end of the island. The wind rose once more as we rounded Deveboynu Burnu and passed Knidos again. Leeside gusts kept us going almost to Ince Burnu but there was insufficient swinging room left for us to anchor so we backtracked along the coast in search of secure anchorage in a resurgent evening meltemi. Dark and gusting F7 as we arrived at Palamut, we turned and ran off under bare poles. The wind abated after midnight, we spent the early hours ghosting around in F1 & F2, arriving back at Ince Burnu by dawn then dropped the anchor in Kargi Koyu.
